Two kinds of first order, both easy
If you have never used a grocery app
You do not need one here either. No smartphone is required, and nothing has to be downloaded or set up. Plenty of clients simply call, send a text, or hand over a handwritten list, and that is a real order, not a lesser one. If you would like, we will get on the phone before your first order and walk you through it together, at whatever pace feels comfortable. There is no wrong way to send a list, and no question too small to ask.
If you have used a national delivery app like Instacart or Shipt
Then you already know the basics, and you will find the same conveniences here, an app, a browser option, delivery windows, and a card on file. What tends to surprise people who switch is how different it feels to work with a small local company that remembers you rather than a rotating pool of strangers. HOW OUR APP WORKS
Our app is based on a list, not a store
Here is the difference that shapes everything else. The national apps are online storefronts, because they are resellers. They buy access, mark up the prices, and sell the groceries back to you.
St. Pete Shopping Company is not a reseller. Our shopping app is really a list-making tool with the ability to schedule a delivery slot and handle payments. You tell us what you want, with as much or as little detail as you like, and we go buy it at the store the way you would yourself.
Because we are not reselling anything, you always pay the actual in-store price, and you get the store receipt every time. There is no markup on your groceries. What you pay us is a service fee for the shopping and the delivery, not a margin on the food. Any sale price, any buy one get one free, any manager special we find while shopping is yours, and we tell you when we spot one.

WHERE WE SHOP
Almost any local store, combined into one order
The national apps limit you to a single store per order, and only the stores they have partnered with. We work the other way around. St. Pete Shopping Company shops almost every local store, from the big grocery chains to the neighborhood butcher, the seafood market, the bakery, and the florist. Better still, we can combine several stores into one order, so the groceries, the good bread, and the flowers arrive together. We make regular trips to Detwiler's Farm Market in Palmetto as well.
A quality standard we hold to
There are a few stores we choose not to shop for groceries, so that we can hold to a standard of quality and freshness we are comfortable putting our name on. For groceries, that means we do not shop Aldi, Winn-Dixie, or Walmart.
It is a commitment to delivering the finest quality items, rather than a comment on anyone else. We are glad to pick up non-grocery items from Walmart, and if there is ever a specific item you want from a particular place, just ask and we will find the best way to get it.

A short call lets us get your details right from the start, and if you would like, we will stay on the line and walk you through placing your first order live, step by step, while it happens.
